Engr. Muhammad Najeeb Haroon

Chairman PEC

Dear Esteemed Engineers and Members of the Engineering Community,

I am delighted to announce the inauguration of the PEC e-Library, a significant milestone in our collective journey towards advancing the Engineering profession in Pakistan. Under the auspices of the Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) and with the vision to propel the engineering field as a key driver of rapid and sustainable growth, the PEC e-Library is poised to be a beacon of knowledge and innovation for engineers, researchers, and students.

The establishment of this e-Library aligns seamlessly with PEC’s commitment to improving the quality of engineering education, accreditation, and professional systems, in harmony with the best international standards and practices recognized by prestigious engineering institutions and organizations.

As we embark on this new Online presence, I extend my heartfelt gratitude to our Team of developers and the Engineering Universities for your unwavering support. Your trust in me and my team is a testament to our shared commitment to addressing the challenges faced by the engineering profession and fostering rapid growth in both the economic and social spheres in Pakistan.

During my tenure as Chairman of PEC, our focus areas will include the development of an effective Online presence, modernization of Engineering curriculum, recognition of outstanding Final Year Design Projects (FYDPs), implementation of Paid Internship/On-Job Training programs, encouragement of entrepreneurship activities, and strong collaboration with the Pakistan Academy of Engineering (PAE) for capacity building and policy advocacy.

Together, we will continue to put PEC’s organizational potential to the best possible use, fulfilling our given mandate and making our engineering community proud of their decision to elect the current Governing Body.

As Chairman, I assure you that I will be the voice of engineers in all higher forums, advocating for your concerns, including the long-pending service structure of engineers, for prompt redressal by the Government. Your professional input, feedback, and valuable support have always been instrumental in our endeavors, and I look forward to your continued collaboration for the overall betterment of the engineering profession and fraternity.

Thank you for your trust, and let us collectively celebrate the inauguration of the PEC e-Library as a testament to our shared commitment to knowledge, innovation, and the advancement of engineering in Pakistan.

With profound regards,

Engr. Muhammad Najeeb Haroon, MNA
